• What does sides are proportional mean?

• Corresponding sides are proportional to one another, a/p = b/q = c/r

• Corresponding sides have the same ratio, a : p = b : q = c : r

Tips

• Match angles in order to determine which sides are similar (the angles in similar triangles are the same, but the sides have a constant ratio)
