Tips
• Look for features of each shape
• Circles - look for the radius or diameter
• Rectangles and squares - look for the sides
• Triangle - create right triangles out of mixed shapes
Then use the area and perimeter / circumference formulas for each individual shape to answer the questions.
Add 2 trapezoids and 1 rectangle
Add 1 rectangle and 1 right triangle
PRACTICE PROBLEMS
Question 1 There are 3 circles with centers A, B, C. They are all tangent to one another. The lengths of lines AB, BC, and AC are 13, 15, and 26, respectively. What is the value of a + b + c? (see figure below)

a + b + c = (AB + BC + AC) / 2 = (13 + 15 + 26) / 2 = 27
