• y–axis: (x, y) –> (–x, y)
• x–axis: (x, y) –> (x, –y)
• Symmetric about origin: (x, y) –> (–x, –y)
• Think of a line of symmetry as if you fold something about that line, the image will be the same. If it’s symmetric about the origin, there are infinite folds that can be created about the origin
