Area of a triangle
CONCEPTS
Triangles
• Perimeter = length of leg 1 + length of leg 2 + length of leg 3
• Area = 1/2 b * h (b = base, h = height)
PRACTICE PROBLEMS
Question 1 Given a right triangle with side lengths of 3, 4, 5. What is the area? What is the perimeter?
-- Answer -- area = 6, perimeter = 12
The leg with length of 5 is the hypotenuse because it is the biggest.
Area=1/2 * 3 * 4 = 6, Perimeter = 3 + 4 + 5 = 12
